Happy Birthday Side Step Cards- LOTV

Good evening everyone. Tonight, I have a couple of birthday cards to share with you. I use the same stamp image but different designer paper for these cards. It is also my first time water-coloring with distress inks. I enjoyed water coloring these images a lot, it was very therapeutic and addicting.
Each card measures 7"(W) x 5"(H) including the tree diecut. The LO is a double side step card, the right step is 1/2" narrower than the left side. The image is Top Chef from LOTV. The bear is so cute and the BBQ looks so yummy :^)
I did some top stitching on the image panel and DP. The DPs are Basic Gray and Magnolia. Dies I used are Memory Box(tree), Magnolia DooHickey(grass, fence, lace border), Spellbinder and Stampin'Up(button). I used the same DPs to decorate the inside of the cards.
Both cards are made for family members whose BDs are coming up in September. Hopefully we still have lovely sunny weather in September for a nice BBQ.
Thanks for stopping by and hope you have a good visit.

Thinking of You

Good afternoon all. Warm welcome to my new followers and many thanks to you all for your lovely comments on my previous posts.

Couple months ago I won a set of stamps at The Stampsmith Challenge; I chose the Shakespeare Julia and Friends set. I finally trimmed the stamp sheet and inked up a few images. I always dread inking photo stamps as I find it's not easy to get a perfect image.

The image I used for this card is Miranda; beautiful image, I just love her.

The card measures 4"(W) x 6"(H). I used Spellbinder Romantic Rectangles for the card front and back, and Petite Ovals and Petite Scalloped Ovals for the image and mats.

I top stiched the DP and distressed all paper edges with TH distressing tool and ink. I added pearls around the picture frames using Viva Pearl Pen. The DP is from Pion Design.

I hand made the rose and rolled the 2 smaller flowers. Flower petals and leave swirls are die cuts using Spellbinder and Memory Box dies. I added a metal book corner, a pearl string, some pearls and lace to complete this card. The inside is decorated with the same DPs.
Thanks for stopping by, wish you a wonderful day.

Tilda's Fun at the Beach

Evening all.  2nd post today, just tidying up another unfinished project which I started a week ago.  It's a beach scene step card using mini Tildas from the Magnolia Summer Memories Collection.

The card measures about 6"(W) x 5 1/2"(H). I used masking technique to stamp the logs which Tildas are sitting on. The images were colored with Copic markers. I cut out and embossed some DP for the sandy beach and added a bit of Flower Soft sand around the logs and where Water Lily Tilda and Key Largo Tilda are standing.

I decorated the card with some cheese cloth, ropes, die cut flower, pearl, and die cut palm trees. Dies used here are from Spellbinder, Magnolia DooHickey, and Memory Box. I used SU craft cardstock as the base; DP is from Webster's Pages.

I am enjoying our August weather here in Vancouver; not too hot, just the right temperature. I feel relaxed and content now that I got this card done.
Thanks so much for visiting me and I wish you all a lovely day tomorrow.

Tilda makes a blueberry blanket

Good afternoon all. A short post to share a Tilda card with you today. I had some trouble getting this  card started, nearly quit half way through. Well, I managed to finish it and hope you like it.

I have combined several challenge themes for this card, using craft paper and neutral tone DPs. The main image is Tilda making a blueberry blanket. I used masking technique to stamp the kitchen bench which Tilda is sitting on.

The card measures 5"(W) x 6"(H). I used craft cardstock as the base and Melissa Frances DP. The stamped images were colored with Copic markers. I did some top stitching and decorated the card with ribbons, lace, chip board sewing needle, mini wooden spool, doily, pearls, cross stitch thread, linen thread, hand rolled paper flowers, and used shirt buttons. Dies used here are from Spellbinder, Magnolia DooHickey and Memory Box.

Thanks very much for stopping by, hope to see you soon.

Fashionista Challenge DT Card- Card for a Child

Morning all. While I was on vacation last month, I received an e-mail from Rina, owner of Fashionista Challenge, asking if I would like to join her challenge designer team. Wow, I was just thrilled and later accepted the offer - how can I refuse such a great opportunity!

Today, we have a new challenge for you at Fashionista.

The theme is Card For A Child sponsored by Stamp Fairy.

You may create any type of paper crafting with this theme. Please visit Fashionista for challenge rules and details.

For my DT card, I made a round easel card using Molly April digi image from Stamp Fairy.

The card measures about 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". I used Spellbinder Circle and Scallop Circle dies to cut out the cardstock and designer paper. I colored Molly with Copic markers and then fussy cut out the image. I did some top stitching and decorated the card with die cuts, pearls, and flowers.

For the picket fence, I stamped woodgrain background (StampinUp) on a piece of vanilla cardstock and then sponged it with a couple of neutral colors before I die cut the paper. I used Magnolia DooHickey dies for the fence, swirl, and dragonfly. Designer papers used here are from Basic Grey and Memory Box. Flowers are handmade and from WOC.

I hope you enjoy this visit. I would love it if you can play along with us at Fashionista Challenge and see my teammates' fabulous creations.

Totally Tilda DT Call Challenge- Tilda with Snow Heart Christmas Gift Box and Tag

Good afternoon. First of, I would like to welcome all my new followers and also thank everyone for your lovely comments on my previous posts. Your comments are truly my inspirations.

Totally Tilda is having a DT Call challenge. They are looking for 8 new DT members. The challenge is to make a Tilda card or project using the following photo for color inspiration.

I made a star-shaped Christmas gift box and tag with Tilda images using the above color inspiration.

The box measures about 6"(H) x 6"(W" x 3/4"(D). The stamped images were colored with Copic markers. I added some white flocks to the hats on the tag and Polar White Flower Soft to the main image's hat and snow heart.

I decorated the box with DPs (Basic Grey and Memory Box) and die cuts. I embossed the trees and added some white liquid applique to the picket fence. The lid is attached to the box base with a brad and ribbons; the brad works as a swivel.

The poinsettia is handmade using 3 Magnolia DooHickey poinsettia die cuts. I distressed the die cuts with water. When dried, I sponged the creases with ink, glued the petals together, sprayed with pearl glitter mist, and added a half pearl in the center.

So I will keep my fingers cross and hope they consider my entry :).

Hope you enjoy this visit and thanks very much for stopping by.

Violin Tilda- Christmas Tag Card

Good afternoon all. 2nd post today to share with you another Christmas card. I used the same embellishments from my previous post, Christmas gift Box, for this card.

The card measures 4 3/4"(W) x 6 1/4"(H). I colored the Tilda image with Copic markers. Designer papers are from Basic Grey and Webster's Pages.

I ran the star shaped DP through my crimper and distressed it with white chalk ink. I threaded some baker's twine through the Jute ribbon to add some color and contrast.
the flower with some pearl glitter spray.

Dies used here are from Magnolia DooHickey (Tilda lace edge, tag and poinsettia) and Memory Box (Catalina Wreath). The little snow flakes were punched out using Martha Stewart's edge punch.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful week.

Christmas Gift Box

Good afternoon all. I am in the mood of crafting Christmas cards/projects while we are having a bit of heat wave here in Vancouver, lol.

I wanted to share with you a shaped card/gift box. I created my own templates, a star shaped gift box measured about 6"(W) x6"(H) x 3/4"(D).

The angel is a photo stamp image from Stempelglede's Vintage Christmas. I inked the stamp with Ranger's Jet Black Archival ink and stamped on glossy paper. I distressed the edges with a little Tea Dye Distress Ink.

I framed the photo with a die cut flower wreath (Memory Box Catalina Wreath die). The designer paper is from Basic Grey's Jovial collection.

I threaded some baker's twine through the Jute ribbon to add some color. I then layered the mesh and a piece of silver organza ribbon in between the card stocks and designer paper and added a few snow flakes (Martha Stewart edge punch) to give some contrast.

The poinsettia is handmade using Magnolia DooHickey die cuts. I dusted the flower with some pearl glitter spray.

The card is attached to the box base with a brad which acts as a swivel. I added some seam binding ribbon to tie and decorate the box.

Hope you enjoy this visit, thanks for stopping by.
