A warm welcome to my new followers.
And many thanks to all of you for visiting my blog.
Your loving comments are my inspirations.
I have a clean and simple creation to share with you today ~
an altered gift bag .
I have this plain organza bag in my stash for a couple of years.
I hate throwing things away, especially something
like this so sheer and dainty.
I decided to dress it up a little with lace,
ribbons, and pearls.
The organza bag measures 10"(H) x 5"(W).
It is big enough to be used as an e-Reader carrying bag.
The image is The Little Conductor from Stampsmith.
I inked up the stamp with Archival Ink and
stamped it on TAP (Transfer Artist Paper).
I transferred the image to fine cotton cloth following
the TAP package instruction.
This is the first time I used TAP and am impressed
how easy it is to ink up the paper and
the image turned out really sharp.
I used ribbon and lace cutouts to frame the stamp image.
I also sewed a strip of white rose ribbon along the draw string edge
and the tie-ends to add some interest.
I left the image uncolored to keep it clean and simple.
I am happy with the result and would like to make more
carrying bag/pouches/gift bags using TAP.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
