Tilda's Coffee Mug Cozy- DT Creation for Marvelous Magnolia

Hello Everyone!

Today we begin a new challenge at Marvelous Magnolia.
The challenge theme is Anything But A Card,
sponsored by
Magnolia-licious and The Ribbon Girl.

So, guess what I came up with?

I bought myself a Christmas present a couple of weeks ago,
a new coffee mug from Starbucks.
This ceramic mug is white and fairly plain, and I could just hear
it calling out to me to dress it up for the holiday :^).

Since I discovered the joy of TAP paper recently,
I could not help myself making another fabric project.
I stamped the images on TAP paper and colored them with Copics.
I then ironed the images on fabric.

I machine stitched the mug cozies with laces and ribbons,
and added fabric glitters and pearls here and there.
The cozies are lined with felts to give extra insulation.

These mug cozies are washable and easily fit in the purse.
They keep your hand from burning and keep your coffee or tea warm.
I think I will make a few more for different seasons.

Hope you enjoy this visit.
I would love it if you hop over to Marvelous Magnolia to
check out my team mates' creations
and join in the fun.

Snow Globe Shadow Box Card - DT Card for Fashionista Challenge #10

Hi Everyone!

Today, I have a DT card for Fashionista Challenge to share with you.
The new challenge theme is Winter, and our sponsor is Kenny K.

This is also my last DT card for Fashionista.
I am stepping down from the designer team so I'll have more time
to keep up with my personal life :^).

This snow globe shadow box card measures 4.25"(W) x 5.5"(H) x 1"(D).
I used 2 pieces of transparencies on the sides to join the 2 circles,
the supporting stand is custom measured/cut.
The card can be fold flat for mailing.

The digi image I used is Kenny K "Xmas Tree".
I colored it with Copic markers and sponged the edges with ink.
I also added some tiny pearls in the background.

I die cut a piece of snow flake wreath (Memory Box die) and
used it to frame the front of the globe.
I added some tiny snowflake punch-outs (Martha Stewart)
and attached Rhinestone for additional sparkles.

The sentiment "NOEL" is a Magnolia stamp, I colored it with Copics.
Dies used are Magnolia Doohickey, Spellbinder, Memory Box.
Designer Paper is from Basic Grey.

Tilda's Tealight Holder - GDT Project for Stamping Sensations

Hello Everyone!

I have a GDT project to share with you today.
Couple of months ago I won the Photo Inspiration Challenge at Stampalot;
I was asked to guest design in the December challenge.
This month's challenge theme is Treemendous.

I have made a tea-light candle holder as the GDT project.

I started with a cylinder (5"H x 3.75"W) made of cardstock and
fitted a tray at the top to hold a tea-light candle.
I decorated the top and bottom edges of the cylinder with MS edge punchouts
and pom-pom ribbons, and filled the tray rim with WOC flowers.

I then attached a wider circle (5"H x 4.75"W) to the base of the cylinder
and decorated the edge with TH snowflake die-cuts.
I filled the space between the cylinder and the circular base with white felt strips.

I created a winter scene on a piece of 3.75" x 12" white cardstock,
using a couple of Magnolia background stamps and a mini winter forest stamp.
I colored the images with Copic markers and sponged the sky with ink.
I also used pearl and glitter pens to add sparkles here and there.
I glued the background scene to the cylinder with sticky tapes.

I stamped out 7 mini Tilda figures, colored them with Copic markers,
fussy cut out the images, and placed them around the winter scene.

I have used a battery operated tea-light candle in the project.
The tray is large enough to hold a glass tea-light candle dish.

Thanks very much for stopping by and hope you enjoy this visit.

Now, time to hop over to Stamping sensations to check out their fabulous DT
creations for inspiration and join in the fun creating!
