Embrace Life

Morning Bloggers!
Hope you are enjoying this beautiful Sunday wherever you are.

I have a DT card to share with you today.
I mad it for The Ribbon Girls August Anything Goes With An Image Challenge.
We welcome any crafty project as long as you include an image.

I made a birdhouse shaped card. The cardbase is mounted on
Tim Holtz Trellis Framework Die diecuts.
I cut out 3 diecuts and glued them together to make a sturdier base.

The bird image is from the Tim Holtz Bird Crazy stamp set.
I inked it on watercolor paper and colored it with Distress Ink pads.
Sentiments are from Tim Holtz Ideaology Chitchat sticker pad.

Designer paper ~ Maja Design Walking in the Forest Collection
Dies ~ TH on the edge die, Magnolia, Memory Box

The following embellishments are available at The Ribbon Girl Shop:
WOC blue pretty blossom, pastel apple blossom, pastel mixed pretty blossom,
ivory silk flower with stamens, wooden heart button, 6mm sticky tape,
dusky blue and ivory button twines, 3mm flatback s/a white pearls,
17mm Lavinia ivory vintage lace, cream seam binding ribbon.

Happy Birthday Candy Basket

Happy August 1st Everyone!
Hope you are keeping well wherever you are.

It has been a month since my last post. My mom had some
serious heart issue after her recent radiation therapy for her breast cancer.
She was hospitalized for 12 days and received a pacemaker at the end.
I spent many of those days in the hospital to keep her company.
Although I wasn't able to do my paper crafting during that time,
I managed to do some knitting and crocheting in the hospital.
Mom used to knit and crochet so I had a good tutor too.
Mom is recovering well at home now and I am blessed
our healthcare system provided her very good care.

Now, back to my post today. A birthday candy basket to share.
It is my DT contribution for Scor-Pal August More Than One Score Challenge.
Our theme this month is "Birthday Celebration".

This sweet digi stamp is Kawaii Candy from Ppinky Dolls.
I have water colored her with Distress Ink pads.

A little pull-out tag is tugged in behind the image for messages.

And here is the back side of the basket.

The candy template is from The Cutting Cafe.
I used my Scor-Pal to make a 3"x3" basket and adhered
2 candy shaped cardstock to the box.

I decorated the basket with the following embellishments from
The Ribbon Girls Shop: 5mm red/white small check gingham ribbon,
5mm flatback s/a red crystals, 3mm flatback s/a white pearls,
WOC pale lemon blossom flower, pastel apple blossom,
dusky blue button twine, K&G pale pink rolled rose.

Designer paper ~ Maja Design Coffee in The Arbour Collection
Dies ~ La La Land Crafts, Magnolia, and Memory Box

I hope you can join us this month and create something that
